Crafting parties for creative kids

Tired of the party planning hustle? We get it.

Planning the perfect party can be stressful. From choosing the date, whittling down the guest list, deciding on the menu and choosing the perfect activity to keep all your mini guests entertained, it’s a lot of pressure! The last thing you want after planning the perfect party is to be the entertainment. That is a guaranteed way to ensure you spend the duration of the party stressed out rather than soaking up all the enjoyment.

While we can’t help with your guest list dilemmas or help you choose the right menu, when it comes to choosing the entertainment we’ve got you covered!

We will do the craft planning legwork after a brief consultation with you about the kind of crafting your mini maker might enjoy. We’re confident that whatever crafts you choose, every guest will have a delightful time using their imagination and creativity to make something wonderfully unique!

On the day of the party we will handle everything from set up to clean up and everything in between, allowing you to simply enjoy the party.

Crafting Adventures

At Violet Sky Creative we aim to create items that not only tick the boxes of pride and accomplishment for your mini makers but also creations that won’t make any parents wince too hard when trying to find a place for it in their home! We want to make creations that have longevity and our focus is on jazzing up functional items and decorative pieces that can be used and cherished by the creator, or even given as gifts to family and friends.

Choose from a variety of creative adventures for your mini makers to embark on, such as decorating tote bags, banners, trinket boxes, and pencil cases (or makeup bags!). They could try their hand at decoupage or learn some new skills such as macramé techniques, embroidery, pom pom and tassel making. Maybe they’d love using beads to make key rings, bag charms, bracelets, and sun catchers, or perhaps put their design skills to work to create some unique badges. There’s dreamcatchers and a whole host of other wall hangings to create.

Whatever your choice, a wide range of materials and resources will be provided for personalising and embellishing each item. The possibilities are plentiful and the hardest part for you will be deciding what activities to go for! But don’t worry, we’ll help you!

We are also happy to discuss how we can accommodate any of your own ideas for a craft activity.

What is included

1-2 crafts per party guest
All resources & materials needed e.g. paint, paint brushes etc.
Personalised digital party invitation
Table coverings and aprons for each guest
Paper party bag for each guest to take home their creations

Pricing

Our kids craft parties are £150 for up to 6 children. Additional children can be added from £12 per child, depending on the craft(s) chosen, up to a maximum of 15 children in total.

We always aim to be transparent with our pricing and all costs will be outlined up front when booking the party. No surprises!

Party Structure

Duration: Approximately 1hr 30mins

First 15 mins: Welcome party guests and settle in. Introduction to craft activities.

Middle hour: This hour will be dedicated to working on the crafts that were chosen when the party was booked. There will likely be 1-2 crafts to work on within this period and time will be split accordingly, depending on the nature of the chosen craft activities, e.g. 30 mins for craft 1 and 30 mins for craft 2.

Last 15 mins: Winding up & finishing touches. Those who have already finished their projects can spend this time decorating their party bag to take their creations home.

30 minutes after the 1.5 hour crafting session will be designated for packing up materials and tidying up. If you are having a 2 hour party, this 30 minute window is a great time to serve some food and drinks and bring out the birthday cake!

A little something extra

If you are looking to make your birthday party that little bit more memorable, why not add on the use of our instant camera? The photo prints can be kept by the birthday kiddo as a reminder of their special day or each guest can take a photo home in their party bag.

(£10 for 10 shots or £20 for 20 shots).

Party in a box!

If you would like to make things even more straightforward, you can hire our party kit. This kit contains lots of useful pieces that make hosting a birthday party in your own home or in a hired venue such as a community hall that little bit easier. The party kit costs just £30 to hire (plus a £15 refundable deposit). Collection of the party kit is free and local delivery can be arranged for a small fee depending on location. There’s no need to wash up, just remove all food and drink remnants and pop everything back in the box to return to us and we’ll take care of the washing up!

We have invested considerable thought into our choice of crafts and the quality of the materials and resources we provide. We will make sure everyone has everything they need to make their own creative masterpiece.

You won’t need to spend the duration of the party making sure everyone is entertained and engaging with the activities. Rachel will be on hand to give creative guidance and hands on support to enable everyone to successfully complete their creation to their satisfaction.

Our personal favourite benefit… You won’t need to deal with the craftermath! We will tidy up all the crafting supplies at the end of the party so after the cake has been cut you can relax and bask in the glory of a successful birthday party!

A crafty little bonus: Each mini maker at the party gets to take home their creations, so no need for party bags!

Creative parties are a bit slower paced than traditional birthday parties, allowing for a more relaxing experience where kids can connect and tap into their creative energy to create something special. They’re the perfect choice for creative kids who have a passion for making things. They’re also fantastic for something unique or for when you’ve exhausted all the other party options over the years! They are excellent for tweens and even teens. We can guarantee there is a perfect craft for all ages.

We might be biased, but we think everyone should experience the fun of a crafty party!

We bring the crafting to you, at your home or at a venue hired by you. We take away all the stress of planning the perfect crafts and we supply all the resources and materials required. We even tidy up afterwards. All you need to do is provide the kids and the cake. And some nice decorations if you feel so inclined!

Some important info

Dates will not be held until a £50 deposit has been received. This will be deducted from the total.
The remaining balance will be due 14 days before the date of your party.
All deposits are non-refundable.
The price quoted is for a craft party lasting approximately 1.5 hours, at your home or a venue hired by you at your cost and does not include food and drinks.
Tables and chairs will be required for all guests in one area. If this is difficult to accommodate in your home, we recommend booking a venue and are happy to offer suggestions if needed.
Travel expenses are included within a 10 mile distance from PA8. Any venues further afield will be charged additional mileage.
