What is the cost of a Violet Sky Creative craft party?
Our kids parties cost £150 for 6 kids. Additional children can be added from £12 per child, depending on the crafts chosen, up to a maximum of 15 kids. All costs will be advised up front when you have chosen your crafting activities.
A deposit of £50 will be required to secure your party date. This will be subtracted from the total party cost. All deposits and payments are non-refundable.
The remaining balance will be due 14 days before the party date.
Other types of parties e.g. hen parties will be priced on an individual basis. Please get in touch for a quote.
What is included in the price?
The price of the party includes 1-2 items to be decorated/personalised by each party guest and all the required resources e.g. paint, paint brushes etc. The craft activities will be chosen by you at the time of booking or up to one month in advance of your party date. There will also be additional crafting/colouring materials on offer for those children who finish their main project quickly!
Further craft activities can be added at additional cost. The duration of the party may need to be adjusted accordingly.
After your booking deposit has been received your party date will be secured. You will then receive a digital party invitation personalised with the birthday kiddos name and the date and location of your craft party. These can be sent to guests digitally or printed (at your own cost). We do not offer a printed invitation at this time.
Violet Sky Creative will also provide table coverings, aprons for each party guest and a paper party bag for each child to take home their item(s).
We will also bring a small speaker so party guests can enjoy some music while they craft. Be sure to let us know if the birthday kiddo has a favourite song and we will be happy to add it to our playlist.
Please be aware the price is for a party hosted at your own home or venue (hired at your cost) and does not include any food or drinks.
Is there a minimum/maximum number of guests?
We have a minimum number of 6 guests. Of course if you wish to have fewer guests than 6 this is absolutely fine but our price is a flat rate for up to 6 children and any less than 6 will be the same price.
Our recommended maximum is 15 children.
Is there a minimum age for a craft party?
Our recommended minimum age for our craft parties is age 5. Whilst we wholeheartedly believe crafting is something that is accessible and adaptable for all ages, the hands-on support/encouragement that younger kids need makes it a bit too difficult within the restricted time frame of a birthday party.

Is there a maximum age for a craft party?
No! Craft parties are perfect for all ages. If you love to craft, we’d love to help you celebrate. We’re confident we can find a fun craft for everyone, whatever their age.
How long does a craft party last?
The crafting will last for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
We will require at least 30 minutes before the party begins to get set up so the crafting fun can begin as soon as all your guests have arrived. Some crafts may require a bit longer to set up but we will advise you of this when you choose your craft activity. If it is not possible to access the party location prior to the party start time please let us know ASAP.
A further 30 minutes will be required at the end of the crafting session to pack everything away and clear up.
If booking an external venue for your party we recommend booking at least a 2.5 hour slot to ensure there is adequate time to set up at the start and tidy up after.
We recommend you invite your guests for a 2 hour party to ensure plenty of time for settling in, crafting and any other food/activities you have planned.
We will be happy to discuss timings with you before the party so the day itself runs as smoothly as possible.
What kind of craft activities are available?
Our focus is on decorating/personalising functional items that can be used and cherished by the creator, or given as gifts to family and friends. These include (but are not limited to!) craft activities such as decorating tote bags, photo frames, banners, trinket boxes etc. We can decoupage, paint, learn macramé techniques, embroider, make pom poms and tassels… There’s bead crafts, felt crafts, badge making… We can make suncatchers and dreamcatchers… There are so many crafting options, we’ll help you choose the best one(s) for your mini makers.
Some crafts may incur an additional cost but this will be made clear when booking.

Will it be messy?
Perhaps! Some crafts (and kids) are by nature messier than others. If you prefer “lower mess” options we can discuss this when booking. Your digital invitation will encourage your party guests to “dress for a mess”. Aprons will be provided but they won’t cover clothes and shoes in their entirety and of course accidents can happen. The supplies we use have the potential to ruin clothing and shoes (or make them more jazzy depending on your POV!). As such we recommend your guests save their best party clothes for another occasion to ensure they can fully embrace their creativity without worrying about their clothes.
Whilst we don’t encourage excessive and unnecessary mess (paint fight? no, thank you!) we do embrace getting a bit messy and enjoying the process.
How far in advance should I book my party?
The earlier you book the better your chances of finding availability for the date you want. We are happy to take bookings up to 6 months in advance. We recommend booking your party at least a month before the party date. This allows us plenty of time to plan the best crafting activities for your mini makers party and gives you plenty of time to organise a venue and any other party essentials with minimal stress.
We may be able to pull off a miracle with shorter notice, depending on availability, so don’t be put off getting in touch if you have left it all to the last minute!
Bookings made with less than 3 weeks notice may incur a small additional fee. This will be advised when booking.
How can I pay for my party?
Preferred payment is by bank transfer. Bank details will be provided on all invoices issued.
How far do you travel?
We are a small family business based in Erskine, Renfrewshire. We can host craft parties within Renfrewshire and the surrounding areas including West Dunbartonshire and Inverclyde. Travel expenses are included in the price for locations up to 10 miles from PA8. Locations outwith this will incur additional travel expenses. These expenses will be advised at the time of booking.
Are your craft parties suitable for boys?
Yes! Most definitely. If your kiddo and their friends love to craft we would love to help ensure they have an unforgettable crafty party experience, regardless of whether they are boys or girls.
Is it only birthday parties you facilitate?
Crafting is perfect for all occasions, not just birthdays! We are open minded to facilitating other creative events such as (but not limited to) crafty hen parties, baby showers, team socials, corporate events, school/nursery events, small private social events… If you have an event that needs a bit of added creative sparkle please get in touch for a quote.
